We have qualified coaches who play international hockey for their countries working at our camps leading the coaching at our camps. We look to provide enough coaches at each camp so that the ratio is 8 children per coach. This ensures that every child gets individual coaching throughout the week and also helps to control the children effectively.
All our sessions are designed to be as safe as possible and all steps are taken to ensure the chances of injuries are kept to a minimum. In the event of injuries we have coaches who are first aid qualified. We also work closely with the sports centres we use to ensure the safety and well-being of the children is a top priority. In addition all coaches are registered with Disclosure Scotland and many are teachers at local schools. Skoolsports run Child Protection courses for its staff on a yearly basis.
